Bio:

Dr. Linda Fritzinger-Hearn currently is the nursing clinical education program coordinator at the Brooks Institute of Higher Learning. She is responsible to develop nursing education to enrich the nursing profession for Brooks’ employees.

Areas of Interest:

Dr. Fritzinger-Hearn’s nursing area of interest has varied throughout her years as an RN. Recently she educated entry level nurses at NSU. Nurse empowerment through education has become an interest and hopes to bring that to the Brooks nursing staff. She has also worked closely with Project Gold a program to support and educate girls from age 11 to 18 who are at risk for or have been subjected to Human Trafficking.

Academic & Professional Activities:

Dr. Fritzinger-Hearn is a member of STTI a nursing honor society and Phi Gamma Sigma, an honor society for Doctorates of Education. She is co-author of an oral presentation for the American Public Health Conference in Denver, Colorado the end of October, 2016 “Interprofessional Diabetes Education and Awareness (IDEA), a Collaborative Model for Community Education.” She presented her poster regarding “The Skills and Behaviors needed by new graduate nurses for Magnet Hospital Employment” to Sarasota Memorial Hospital’s Research Day.
