Pre Professional Observation Students
Pre-professional observation opportunities are available for students to obtain hours shadowing a Brooks Rehabilitation Therapist or Nurse. Hours are provided to students who would like to gain exposure to their field of interest or to fulfill academic institution admission requirements.
To apply, follow the three steps below:

If you have not already completed a background check within the past 6 months, please visit the site and select the “National Criminal Background Check”- $19.95. After receiving your report, include it within the application with your completed packet.

What to Know
Submitting Your Application
The required Observation Student Compliance Packet must be completed and uploaded to your application. It is also required to submit a completed level I background check to be onsite. If you have not completed a National Criminal Background check within the last 6 months, please visit this site and choose the National Criminal Background Check- $19.95. The report received after will need to be submitted in the application with your completed packet.
Completed packets will not be accepted via email. Failure to upload and submit the compliance packet will result in your application being denied. If you are requesting to observe between November 1st and March 31st verification of receiving the flu shot is required.
If you do not show up or formally cancel an observation experience that you have signed up for, you will not be permitted to reschedule or observe at any Brooks Rehabilitation location; If you’ve already signed up for another date/location, it will be terminated.
What To Expect After You Submit An Application
Observation opportunities are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Availability is limited at each site, and placement is not guaranteed. Once your application is received, we will begin the scheduling process. If we can accommodate your request, you will be notified by email typically within two weeks.
Please note: During school breaks (summer, winter, and spring), processing times may extend to 2–4 weeks due to the high volume of applications.
