Nursing Clinical Internships

Overview

Brooks Rehabilitation partners with accredited nursing programs to provide high-quality clinical learning experiences across our system of care. We support a range of clinical placements, including group rotations and individualized preceptorships, for students in LVN, BSN, and ADN programs.

How to Apply

School Directed Clinical Rotations

Most nursing clinical placements are coordinated directly by the academic institution.

Schools that are affiliated with Brooks Rehabilitation should submit clinical rotation requests for LVN, BSN, and ADN programs through myClinicalExchange.

This pathway is used for:

  • Group clinical rotations
  • Preceptorships

Student Led Requests

Individual nursing students seeking preceptorships not led by their school coordinator or capstone experiences may submit requests directly when required by their academic program.

This pathway is typically used for:

  • Senior practicum or capstone rotations
  • Programs where students secure their own placements

To explore potential settings, students are encouraged to review Brooks Rehabilitation’s location map to identify areas of interest.

Placement Considerations

Affiliation Agreements

All nursing clinical experiences require a current affiliation agreement between Brooks Rehabilitation and the academic institution.
The placement process involves two main steps:

  • The ability of the two institutions to establish an affiliation agreement
  • Our ability to identify availability based on your setting, specialty, and location preferences.

Request Requirements

Whether submitting through a school or as an individual student, requests should include:

  • Requested clinical dates
  • Preferred setting and specialty
  • Total clinical hours needed
  • Class enrollment type requiring rotations
