Bio:

Dr. Lauren Nielsen is a licensed physical therapist who is currently employed at Brooks Rehabilitation in Orlando, FL. Dr. Nielsen specializes in orthopaedic physical therapy with a focus on manual therapy and physical therapy for performing artists.

Education & Training:

Dr. Nielsen graduated from Arcadia University with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2014 and Missouri State University with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Dance Performance in 2011. She has completed advanced training in orthopaedics through the Brooks Rehabilitation/University of North Florida Orthopaedic Residency Program and Brooks Rehabilitation/University of North Florida Fellowship in Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapy. Dr. Nielsen received her Board Certification in Orthopaedic Physical Therapy in 2016.

Areas of Interest:

Dr. Nielsen takes interest in Performing Arts and Scholarship of Teaching and Learning.

Academic & Professional Activities:

Dr. Nielsen is currently completing her terminal degree, a DSc in Physical Therapy. She serves on the Ethics Committee of the American Academy of Orthpaedic Physical Therapy and the Specialization Academy of Content Experts for the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties.
