Bio:

Dr. Debra L. Gray has several decades of physical therapy clinical and educator experience. She currently owns and manages Gray Therapy, Education, & Consulting, LLC. Her clinical experience spans a variety of settings with an emphasis on geriatrics and home care.

Areas of Interest:

Dr. Gray holds several specialty certifications in geriatrics: Geriatric Certified Specialist, Geriatric Training Certification, Certified Exercise Expert for the Aging Adult, Functional Standards for Optimal Aging Expert, and Certified Aging in Place Specialist.

Academic & Professional Activities:

Dr. Gray is a member of the American and Florida Physical Therapy Associations and the American Geriatrics Society. On the national level, she serves in various roles for the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE), the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), and the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy (FSBPT). She is a credentialed trainer for the APTA’s Clinical Instructor Education Programs Levels 1 and 2 and is a current member of the Credentialed Clinical Instructor Workgroup. She holds the rank of associate professor at the University of St. Augustine for Health Science and is contributing faculty for the Doctor of Physical Therapy programs. She currently serves as a volunteer for the St. Johns County Senior Falls Prevention Program in St. Augustine. She also has served as a wheelchair seating specialist for international mission trips to Cuba, Guatemala, and Peru with Wheels for the World.
