This course follows a blended learning approach, consisting of both online and live on-site components. Required online home study must be completed prior to the live course date.

This course offers practitioners guidelines for assessment and interventions for patients presenting with cervicogenic dizziness. Key concepts reviewed in this course will include anatomical review, differential diagnosis, clinical examination, outcomes assessment, and interventions. This course will cover the process of reviewing varying causes of dizziness to determine the relative involvement of the cervical spine as the symptom generator.  Common assessment and intervention techniques for this condition will be taught and practiced during the course. The philosophies of this course will follow an orthopaedic manual physical therapy approach which is based on clinical reasoning algorithms within an efficient and effective patient examination.

At the end of this course, participants will be able to:

• Identify the important anatomical structures of the cervical spine that correlate with causes for dizziness.
• Describe the pathophysiology behind cervicogenic dizziness.
• Identify red flags associated with dizziness related pathologies.
• Describe differential diagnoses for associated conditions causing  dizziness, but not related to the cervical spine.
• Perform examination and intervention techniques for cervicogenic dizziness.
• Recognize interventions effective in the management of cervicogenic dizziness.
• Identify key outcomes assessment for use with cervicogenic dizziness.
