The Brooks IHL offers multiple levels of educational training along the continuum for clinicians seeking to broaden their horizons.
Each program is designed to impart the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to function as an academic, clinical, and professional leader within that specialty area.
The Brooks IHL residencies are post-professional clinical training programs designed to provide specialization for clinicians. We currently offer five residency programs, all of which are accredited by the American Board of Physical Therapy Residency and Fellowship Education (ABPTRFE):
- Orthopaedic Residency
- Neurologic Residency
- Geriatric Residency
- Women’s Health Residency
- Pediatric Residency
- Sports Residency*
*The Sports residency program is brand new, and is currently in the development process to be implemented in July 2016.
The Brooks IHL offers fellowship education which is the highest level of post-professional clinical training that builds upon the knowledge gained in a residency and provides advanced sub-specialization in a particular area.
Our ABPTRFE accredited Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapy Fellowship is based on the pillars of clinical competence, education, scholarly clinical practice, professionalism, and practice management. The fellowship provides a highly focused educational experience for individuals interested in attaining advanced specialized skills in OMPT.
Brooks IHL is dedicated to providing valuable mentoring and hands on learning opportunities to students. We offer internships for students in PT, PTA, OT, OTA, SLP, and Exercise Science programs. Read more...
