The Brooks IHL provides over 40 post-professional continuing education courses for rehabilitation practitioners. Course offerings are available in a wide variety of specialty areas including, but not limited to, Orthopaedics, Neurology, Women's Health, and Geriatrics. Our faculty consists of both nationally renowned experts from around the country, as well as nationally recognized clinical experts that currently practice at Brooks Rehabilitation. Time: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PMLocation: Brooks Rehabilitation Hospital Assembly 1This course will supply a comprehensive review of pelvic cavity anatomy and the physiology of micturition. It will offer an in depth look at supportive dysfunction of the pelvic floor muscles, with emphasis on urinary incontinence. It will provide a comprehensive evidence based approach to treatment of urinary incontinence using behavior management strategies, dietary modifications, pelvic floor muscles training and electrical stimulation. The use of objective outcome measures, functional goal writing and documentation will be presented.

Time: 8:30 AM - 3:30 PMLocation: Brooks Rehabilitation Hospital Assembly 1&2This 1-day course provides Physical Therapists, (PTs), PT students in their final year, Medical Doctors (MDs), Doctors of Osteopathy (DOs), medical students, physician assistants (PAs), nurse practitioners (NPs) , and nurse midwives (CNMs) with practical knowledge and skill in the external and internal examination of the female pelvis and the vaginal pelvic floor.

Time: 8:30 AM - 5:30 PMLocation: Brooks Rehabilitation Hospital Assembly 1&2Brooks Physical Therapy in Pregnancy and Postpartum Certificate of Achievement- This course is designed to give the practicing clinician a comprehensive knowledge base in obstetric physical therapy evaluation and treatment. Successful completion of didactic and psychomotor testing will result in a Brooks Physical Therapy in Pregnancy and Postpartum Certificate of Achievement.

Time: 4:00 PM - 8:00 PMLocation: Brooks Rehabilitation Hospital Assembly 1&2The Brooks Neurologic, Orthopaedic, Geriatric, and Women’s Health Residents will be presenting the FIRST of their four Case Studies.
November 2
Time: 7:30 AM - 6:00 PMLocation: Brooks Rehabilitation Hospital Assembly 1&2Brooks Pelvic Physical Therapy Certificate of Achievement - This course is the second of three courses, Pelvic PT1, Pelvic PT2, and Pelvic PT3, designed to give the practicing clinician a comprehensive knowledge base in pelvic physical therapy evaluation and treatment. Successful completion of testing will result in a Certificate of Completion of Pelvic PT2. Successful completion of Pelvic PT1, Pelvic PT2, and Pelvic PT3 will result in a Brooks Pelvic Physical Therapy Certificate of Achievement.
